Sorry. =/

Sorry I've been away for so long. School, dance, and life has been consuming me for the past month or so. I won't go into detail, but certain things have been taking a huge toll on me. Anyway, since FOTDs take a long time for me to comprise, I'll post this beauty survey in the mean time. I promise I'll start updating on a regular basis soon. <3

What’s your favourite eye shadow color to wear?
Hmm. Probably purple. I think the color compliments me well and you can play it up so many different ways. You can get a brow-toned purple and make it work in a neutral look. Or a vibrant purple and make it bright. I really enjoy that color on my eyes.

What’s the one product you wouldn’t leave your house without?
Oh gosh this is too hard. I guess foundation? But I would still feel self conscious because I would feel like I need a little flush of something on my cheeks. I guess absolute bare minimums for me would be foundation, blush, mascara, and a lip gloss/balm.

What’s your favourite makeup look – high drama OR natural?
Definitely high drama. Even when I'm using neutral colors, I play them up by using metallic finishes or a dark color in the outer crease. I just can't help but go more on the dramatic side. :P

Which feature do you play up the most?
Eyessss. They're definitely my favorite. People tell me they're my best feature and as they say "they are the window to the soul." Also, they're the main thing people look at while talking to you. On lazy days when I don't feel like doing much to my eyes, I'll throw on a fun colored lipstick or gloss though.

Which feature do you try to downplay/cover up?
Hmm. I guess my skin? I mean I don't try to hide my actual skin, but I use foundation and concealer to hide the imperfections on it.

Your favourite makeup brand, if you could pick only ONE to exist?
Oh man this is harddd. Maybe Urban Decay?

Which product have you re-purchased OVER and OVER again?
CoverGirl LashBlast <3 & Clinique Moisture Surge. <333

Which product would you NEVER repurchase again and why?
Hmm... um... Maybelline Colossal Mascara. The smell sucks and it flakes off like crazy.

One beauty treatment you would always PAY to have done?
Probably a hair cut.

One beauty treatment you would NEVER pay to have done?
Probably my eyebrows. Not only does it save money, and you can have them done (by yourself) whenever you want... but my eyebrows actually look the way I want them to now.

One beauty trick you can share with everyone?
If you want to keep your make up looking nice for more than an hour you need good primers and bases under everything!

Best advice you've ever been given regarding beauty and makeup?
Make up is temporary. Don't be afraid to try something out of your comfort range. If you think it looks totally ridiculous, it washes off! :)

New Years Look.

So I tried really hard to stay away from purple, but I just couldn't do it... haha. Alright, well maybe I didn't try that hard, but at least I incorporated some other colors this time. =) A lot of layering of eye shadows go into this look, but I like the blended outcome. Enjoy.

I love purple.

You've probably seen this look a million and one times, but I decided to post it anyway because I love purple. It's probably my favorite eye shadow color, and apparently it's very complimentary to brown eyes. So, I apologize if this look is played out... but I still like it. Blue & Gold Look.

This look was inspired by Skin Deco's (<- click!) "FOTD: Chicken Golden Blue." I didn't use any of the same products because I don't have them, haha. Also, I think it came out a little bit brighter, but it may just be the lighting. Hope you like it. :)

Products Used:

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion; all over lid from lash line to brow bone.
This -n- That Black Light Lip Pencil; (I got this a reaaaaaaally long time ago. I don't even remember from where. It's basically a shimmery white cream shadow stick.) from lash line to just above the crease & lower lash line.

Ignore the face & the pink shirt. I just threw it on quickly before I decided what I was going to wear, which was a turquoise hoodie. =) Also, it was one of the only photos the cheek color showed up well in... lol.

It looks kind of uneven to me in this one. =( Oh well...

So I'm a camera whore. =/ Haha. Nah. I just think it helps to have a lot of different views so you can get a good feel for how the make up is applied. I really like this look & I hope you do too. =)
